Songs wander from the burning prairies of Illinois to the green fields of the Civil War in an Americana exploration that travels through time and across the states. The sisters harmonize as the cello soars over an acoustic guitar foundation. So Dark a Train has recorded demos in both Albuquerque and San Francisco.

So Dark a Train is a collaboration between two sisters that stretches across the western half of the United States. Cellist Nicole lives in the Los Angeles area while guitarist Amanda lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Drummer Richard Houghten also contributes to the band's recordings.
